Get to know Chef Sean (@therealchefsean): the Chicago Native, LA based no-nonsense rapper that is soon to be appearing on your streaming services’ curated ‘New and Notables’ playlist. On October 24, 2020,  Chef Sean hosted a listening party and meet-and-greet serving a Sunday style dinner for his closest friends, family and supporters at Bureau Bar Chicago. Fans were granted access to a live performance of “Feelings” while enjoying an all-you-can-eat shrimp and grits/chicken buffet, paying homage to southern hospitality with this communal dinner.

“Feelings” is an ode to the rapper’s increasing visibility and a testament to his current stance in the rap game- he is unconcerned with the trivial opinions of his competitors and invites friendly competition: “I got these n*ggas sensitive and now they mad though.” New listeners can easily jump on Chef Sean’s wave as his sound is characterized by the synthy beats and storytelling that has fueled the careers of the household names in rap today.

Keeping this momentum, the rapper proves his longevity with his new Halloween single, “No Evidence”, a gritty flex-anthem produced by Lil Rod (@rodneyjonesjr). Chef Sean shows off his musical range, constantly dropping singles with drastic differences in cadence and tempo, diversifying his sound.

Unlike most break-out talent, Chef Sean has already collaborated with industry favorites such as Jeremih and Siya who remixed his autotune hit “No Name”, a melodic ballad featuring crisp vocals and easy-listening raps about desire and conflict- expressing his love woes using the sample from Alicia Keys’ “You Don’t Know My Name.” Blending R&B and trap, Chef Sean is easily a blooming name in Hip-Hop. Look out for his debut album dropping soon on all platforms!
