Kodak Black fresh off a presidential pardon, releases “Last Day In”. Kodak laments on his past ways as a first offering as a free man. Hand drawn cover art adds a touch of intimacy.  His signature tone of introspect and emotion stand out here. Along with some questionable double entendres. We are curious to see where Kodak takes us next in his journey.

Fka Twigs links up with Fred again, and British rapper Headie one for a spoke and word reminiscent vocal performance. The visual leads with the message of “don’t judge me” and ends by creating imagery of oppression by an invisible force.

DJ Scheme ( former DJ for deceased rapper XXXtentacion) releases a collaboration with Juice Wrld. After untimely passing of Chicago native Juice Wrld, verses like these seems to keep the legacy alive. This track also provides a reminder of the potential of unreleased gems in the vault of Juice Wrld.

Larry June puts his spin on a classic hip hop sample with “Dear Winter” a flip of Just Blaze produced Memphis Bleek and Jay-Z track “ Dear Summer.” Larry and Jay Worthy’s rendition Eloquently providing descriptions of a unique lifestyle depicted by luxury goods and fluid income and unrelenting ambition.
